Biology STEM

Last night's visit to HGCSC by researchers from The University of Sheffield's Active Touch Laboratory was a roaring success.

Our pupils were amazing, in fact one of our guests commented 'Kids like this really make me want to become a teacher'!

The cricket leg experiment and the loveable little Colin Collins were fascinating - look out for more Biological events in the future!

Duke Of Edinburgh

A massive well done to all our Duke of Edinburgh Award students, for their fantastic performance during their practice expedition this weekend.  They showed real team work when setting up their tents, toughness to survive the cold night camp and lots of skill and determination on their hike the following day.

They impressed all the staff who took them along and made us all very proud of our Handsworth students, lets hope the summer expeditions are a bit warmer!
